Informational draft — CasaFido legal documentation
Notice: the entire legal package published on this site (terms of use, privacy policy, cookie policy) is an informational draft and must be professionally reviewed before any production use or presentation to users as final text.
1. What “informational draft” means
These texts were prepared by the project technical team based on:
- planned portal features (connecting people seeking foster/responsible dog placement with publishers, moderation, reports, no commercial sale of animals);
- project policy documents (platform-only role, administrator powers, no public “certification” of facilities);
- general legal references (GDPR, ePrivacy, Italian Privacy Code as amended, information society services rules, Legislative Decree 135/2022 on distance sale/transfer of animals, Digital Services Act where applicable).
They do not replace advice from qualified counsel or a DPO.
2. Documents covered by the review
- Terms of use — platform role, moderation powers, listings, reports;
- Privacy policy — personal data processing, rights, retention;
- Cookie policy — technical and third-party cookies, consent.
Each document includes its own draft notice at the end.
3. What counsel should do before go-live
- Insert full controller identification (legal name, registered office, tax/VAT ID, email, PEC, published phone if any).
- Ensure terms, privacy, and cookies are mutually consistent and match how the site actually works.
- Confirm or amend liability, governing law, jurisdiction, children, affiliate (e.g. Amazon) clauses.
- Validate consent flows (registration, cookie banner, any newsletters).
- Approve publication as non-draft (new version in the back office with effective date).
4. Limitation regarding the technical author
Anyone who drafted or imported these texts into the system is not liable for production use without proper legal validation. Use “as is” is at the site operator’s sole risk.
5. Contact
Use the contact details published on the site for project feedback on the draft. For binding legal advice, consult qualified counsel.
To be validated by a lawyer before production use.
